1 x ham hock or 600g bacon bones
500g split green peas
3 carrots peeled
3 celery sticks
1tsp cracked pepper
1 brown onion
2 cloves garlic
Dice all ingredients and add to slow cooker or large pot.
Leave on a slow simmer for 10hrs or overnight.
Turn off and strain bones out of soup.
makes 8-10 servings freeze for later use.
